I haven't been keeping up with this at all! >_>
Anyways, here's a kinda crazy thing that happened yesterday.
I got back from the airport yesterday afternoon, and I had to meet my group in the library for a project at around 5. So we met up and worked on stuff, and then I started to head back. On the way to my apartment, I saw a bunch of cops near this coffee shop. I kinda had to do a double take because the cops had giant rifles! I got a little freaked out thinking about what's happening. But I just continued on, and when I got in front of my building, I noticed that there were police cars parked in the parking lot!
Now, I'm getting a little more freaked out. I asked my roommate what happened, and she had no idea either, except that it was a little noisy when the cars came to park.
I tried to Google and see if anything happened but there was nothing. A few hours later, the university sent out an email saying that there was an attempted robbery nearby and someone was shot! And the suspect has possibly escaped to my apartment area, with police still looking for him! D: And according to the email, it happened 10 minutes before I walked past the store! I don't even want to think about what would happen if I had left 10 mins earlier.
I was pretty scared last night, making sure everything was locked securely! And today, when I was coming back from class, there's a notice from the apartment saying that the police are still looking for the suspect, and if you see a gun, call them!
It's too scary! >_<
A Canadian in Texas
I moved to Texas for graduate school, and I wanted to record things I experience here for my friends and other people to read.

Outlets
So I went to the outlet malls with my friends last Friday, and I'm just terrible at making posts about stuff when they happen!
It was pretty fun, I guess. There is a ridiculous amount of stores there. It would probably take like 5 trips to go to every single one. I didn't really get to go to the stores I wanted. I just ended up tagging along with them. This was totally fine because it lessened my temptation to spend money on stuff.
This is going to be a short entry, I guess. I have 4 articles to read for my essay assignment tomorrow, and this is my way of procrastinating a little.

I'm sorry~
It's terribly cold and snowing in Toronto right now, and here I am, with such perfect weather! It's spring break right now, and the campus is totally abandoned, so I've been going on walks to take pics~! And also just spending ridiculous amount of time on Netflix >.>
They're not from the same days!

| I go this way to get to my classes, since they're all in the Business College. I like this way because there aren't as many stairs. |

A Visit to the Capitol
This happened last month but I guess I'll write about it now. My friends and I wanted to go to this Asian grocery store in Austin, but it wasn't open yet, so we decided to kill some time exploring the Capitol building. It reminded me of the Legislative Assembly on Queens Park (which I visited many, many years ago as part of a field trip). They had metal detectors and bag scanners, like at the airport! I guess they have to be really careful with their security. And I tried to sneakily get a picture of this (and failed), but the offices near the entrance seemed like they might have previously been jail cells. They had this old fashioned jail door that you have to pass through to get to the desks. I should have asked! There was probably a story there.

Texas is a very different place
My friend wanted me to blog about stuff I experience in Texas, so I made this! (Sidenote: I think I have too many blogs)
So, I'm here at Texas State University doing my Masters in Accounting and IT.
And, I guess, there have been a lot of new things that I've experienced here, in the past month and a half.
Events such as, the university shutting down/getting delayed about 5 times in the past month because of 'snow'.
I'll write more tomorrow because I'm really sleepy, and I'd rather fall completely asleep before the people downstairs get noisy!
